Travel Log Continued

July 1st: Started our camping trip at Bear Lake. We stayed at Cotton Wood Campground...just a note don't ever camp at Cotton Wood during this season, there was cotton everywhere. Shortly after arriving we helped put out a quite large forest fire before the fire department could get there. It was really scary but definitely just a preview to the exciting trip we were about to have.

July 2nd: We got up and had a fun camping breakfast before going out on the boat. The kids got a couple tubing rides in and then with no warning the boat stopped and wouldn't start again. We were quite far from the shore and even farther from where our camping spot was so the heroes for the day, Brady and my Brother-in-law J swam and ran to the camp spot to get a tool and a car. While we were waiting on the boat Caden threw up. We thought it was from the movement of the boat until later that night when he continued to throw up and the rest of the family followed suit. The tool didn't end up working to we had to pull the kids to shore on the tube and then walk to the car. What an adventure!!! That was all followed by the tent full of vomiting and by the next morning we were ready to go home. It all sounds a little disappointing but really Brady and I were really glad to be with family and we were at Bear Lake so it all didn't seem so bad.
Kamrie just chillin' on the boat, before it broke down.

This is all the action we really got on the water. This was right after Caden got sick on the boat. Kamrie is being such a little mommy. The kids staying entertained while the men were trying to fix the boat.
July 3rd: We were all sick, sick, sick. What a bummer.

July 4th: Birthday shopping with the girls, when that adventure was finally over. We had a fun little meal outside and then played kickball with the kids before going to the firework show.

July 5th: We had a fun little birthday celebration when we woke up...Brady had everything planned just right. I got the GPS of my dreams and some clothes from Steve and Connie and then we started another long drive to Idaho to attend my family reunion. It was so good to see everyone again. That night we had to split up so Brady could start the long drive to Cali. to do his internship for the next week.

July 6th & 7th: just hung out and recouped from the craziness.

July 8th: Took the older kids to Kung Fu Panda while the babies stayed home with Gma Smith. The kids had a great time and it was a pretty good movie...even better because we got to sit back and listen to the kids laugh.

July 9th: I got together with my wonderful friends from High School. We haven't all been together since we graduated so it was a reunion that was long overdue. There were four of us and we had 9.5 kids all 4 years old and under. We had a ball and even though we spent the whole day together it just didn't seem to last long enough. Thanks everyone for making that work and for driving so far to make it happen. I love you all.

These are all (at least those that would sit still for a photo) of our kids. The four of us actuallyhave 9 kids between us all.

July 10th: Another day at Bear Lake just to swim and play on the beach. The kids had a ball. It is so fun to take them back to where I used to play as a kid. We also had a good-bye dinner for my niece and nephew who live in Alaska. They have grown up to be pretty amazing kids and it was so great to see them again.

A group shot of the kids that would sit still.

July 11th: Another day to just relax and play.

July 12th:
We went to the little "Twin Creeks" celebration in my home town. There was a parade, lots of good food, a rock climbing wall & huge bouncer toys for the kids, and I got to see some more great friends from the past.

July 13th: Sunday Dinner at mom's with all the sibs.

July 14th: Packing and the drive back to Utah to meet up with Brady. One last dinner with my parents before a tearful goodbye. Painting a welcome back poster for Uncle Tab who is got home from his mission right after we left. And a good nights sleep before the next big day of travel.

July 15th: We left The Robbins' house at 5:30am to make the long journey back to Indy.
Thanks everyone for everything. You all always do so much to make our trips memorable. We had a great trip and can't wait to come back again.
And this is what we looked like on the ride home...we are all just beat!!!

Becky,
Hey, how are you doing? I have not seen or talked to you in forever. I've always have wondered how you were doing. It looks like things with you are great. Your kids are so cute. Well I just started this blog stuff so I hope to be able to keep in touch.

I am glad you had fun! Sorry we missed you. I couldn't walk during your visit. I hurt my back! My family is going through a crazy and rough time right now but I hope they all can get through it soon and be "happy" again and then it will be easier to go places and do things with our minds at ease. I feel bad for missing Mal's wedding for these reasons. Love, Mandi
