Update

So I promised pictures and I vowed to do better with my blogging so here they are. We had a great Valentines Day. Holidays, even the little ones, are so much fun with my little tykes around. I am one of those people that struggled with growing up because the magic and excitement of each holiday seemed to diminish as I got older. When there were no little kids in our house as I was growing up and even after I got married but we hadn't had kids yet, each holiday was still fun in its own way, but the sheer joy and excitement was definitely not as evident. Now that I have my own kids it is back and maybe even more exciting than it was as a kid. As moms we can do so many things to highlight the excitement of the day. I am not always great at that but I try to do little things to make my kid's memories just as great as mine were. I try to make it fun for them and they definitely make it fun for me, we all win!!!

Things are going so much better for us. The little colds are still hanging on but all the big terrible stuff is over and we are loving feeling better. Brady got me some DDR pads so we have been dancing the nights away lately. I am such a weirdo but I love DDR! I am not so great at it but it is still totally fun. Brady's Birthday is coming up so I am looking forward to doing something fun for him. Does anyone have any ideas??? My parents are coming to Indy the night of his Birthday and they will spend almost 2 weeks with us...we are sooo excited. Caden hasn't stopped talking about it since I told him and we are planning to make a chain so he can stop asking me every 5 minutes if they are on their way yet. The day after his birthday Brady gets to go on a trip to Mexico with some students from his school to do dental work in areas of Mexico where there is a lot of poverty and the kids don't normally get the opportunity to get dental work done. He is really excited because he will get lots of experience working with kids. We are going to miss him but it is a great opportunity so we will make it work. I wish we were all going!!!

Caden is getting tired of being in the house. I hope springtime comes soon. He is a very active boy and being cooped up in our little apartment gets to him at times. My brain has to work overtime trying to come up with new fun places to go or things to do to keep him busy so he doesn't go crazy. He loves school though and he really enjoys working in his workbooks and making projects. He has been working really hard and has finally learned to write his name. It was and still is such a huge accomplishment every time he does it.

Kamrie loves playing with Caden and while they love each other, they have a hard time getting along all the time. We just signed her up for a mini movers class at the YMCA and I am excited for her to get started. She loves to play with other kids and I think she will have a great time. She just started nursery on Sunday and she had so much fun. I stepped in on her for a minute and she is quite the singer!!!

Brady is working hard at school and still managing to be a wonderful daddy and husband. He is glad to be working on patients and doing less book work and he is excited for his Mexico trip.

I am keeping busy with the kids, the housework, my YW girls, working out, and trying to make time for scrapbooking. I am getting really excited for spring and summer. It got really warm here the past couple of days and I realized just how much I miss pool season.

All in all we are keeping busy and looking forward to some fun stuff coming up in a few weeks (birthdays, grandparents visiting, and brady's trip). I am excited to be back to blogging and hope that I can keep up.

This is the ginormous mess we made on Valentines day!!! We frosted and decorated cupcakes and it was a ball. Kamrie was covered from head to toe!

Here is the finished product. They are pretty simple but we sure had fun making them and eating them.

Just call her Chocolate face. After cleaning up the mess I wasn't sure that she actually got any in her mouth. There was frosting and cake everywhere!!!

Caden was really excited about the decorations. We had rose petals sprinkled around, balloons, confetti, and some hanging decorations. The balloons were definitely a favorite because they doubled as toys.

You are such a cool mom!! I don't get into the holidays that much, even with little kids around. I hate the mess and the hassle. You make it look so fun and effortless.
Way to go Caden! (on writing his name.) I can't believe Kamrie is old enough for nursery. That means Ellie isn't too far behind. Crazy!
I hope Brady has a good time in Mexico. What an awesome experience to have.
Have fun when your parents come to visit. And good luck getting that scrapbooking done!

Becky! You have a lot to look forward to and then maybe summer will get here. I hate winter! I can't believe that your little boy is in school. You have two really cute kids. It looks like you're staying super busy and having fun being a mom, it's the best!

Yeah, I am so glad you get to see your parents. I hope you have the best visit. I love the holidays too. We frosted heart shaped sugar cookies and believe me the mess was just as good. Kenny and Aubrey are also so excited about summer. We have been on complete lock down here because I don't want another week in the hospital with RSV. If my kids don't get out soon we are all going to go crazy.
I have decided that it is impossible to find time for scrapbooking, so good luck!

Wow, I can totally relate to the active boy being cooped up and killing your brain to come up with fun things to do. I was reading something that said, "Even though February is the shortest month, for some Hoosiers, it can feel like the longest." So True. Cute pictures. This blogging thing is getting fun!
